Newspapers

A list of the news outlets of the era

There were three popular types of news outlets during the Georgian era:

  • Newspapers

  • Pamphlets

  • Satirical Prints

Each of these had its own function and target audience.

While they could be purchased from merchants and shopkeepers, the most common way to nab the latest news was at the local coffeehouse where one could read for free and promptly gossip about the contents with friends.
